The Nexus isn't in the business of events. It's in the business of rooms people want to come back to a chessboard on a Tuesday, an open studio on a Thursday, the table that forms after both close. Different formats, same idea: put the right people in a room and something real happens. Not networking. Not content. Just people who showed up once and kept showing up.
We measure a good night by who's still there talking after the official part ends, not by how many people walked through the door. A conversation that turns into a friendship is worth more to us than a hundred names on a guest list.

Swaraj Pai is a chemical engineer, chess enthusiast and community lead for The Chess Nexus in Mumbai. A self-described chess addict, he brings curiosity, energy and a love for deep conversations about chess and strategy.

Dhanish Dhavale is a B.Sc. Mathematics student and community lead for The Chess Nexus in Mumbai. A lifelong chess player, he brings analytical thinking, candid humour and a willingness to embrace every brilliant blunder!

Clive Allen Lobo is a rehab psychologist, chess coach and active player who leads The Chess Nexus in Bengaluru. He brings strategy, wit and a sharp sense of humour to every room, on and off the board. He keeps it lively.

Om Pawar is a Analyst in Capgemini by profession and a FIDE-rated chess player by obsession. He spends his weekdays teaching machines to think and his weekends proving that humans still blunder more than computers.
